Coach Rich graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and later received his Secondary Teaching Certificate from Cleveland State University. He has been a high school soccer coach (USSF D-License) for 23 years with an overall head-coaching record of 240-87-46.

He began his coaching career at Avon Lake High School in northeast Ohio where he was the J.V. Men’s Coach and later an Assistant Girl’s Varsity Coach (2001-2006). Upon moving to Central Texas, Coach Rich was hired as the Head Coach of Stony Point High School in Round Rock, Texas.

In his first year at Stony Point, Coach Rich led the Tigers to their first playoff appearance in five years. In the following two years, Coach Rich won back-to-back District Championships. In nine years at Stony Point he was named District Coach of the Year twice, won three District Championships and won five invitational tournaments.

In 8 years at Georgetown High School, Coach Rich led his team to a District Championship and were 6-time runner’s up in one of the state’s most competitive districts. His teams have qualified for the playoffs seven times and finished with the best defense five times. He was voted District Coach of the Year for the 2019-2020 season and made an appearance in the Regional Tournament in 2022.

Coach Rich and his wife Kelly have a 4 year old daughter named Rowen and 1 year old son named Elias. They enjoy traveling and hanging out at home with their dogs in their spare time.
